Getting started
Do you take walk-ins?
No. 523 Studios is by appointment only. We book seven days a week, Monday through Sunday, from 9 AM to as late as 10 PM, including evening and late-night shoots.
How do I book?
Use the contact form and choose your service, or call 404-383-8308. Our booking team confirms availability and details with you. A date is secured once it is confirmed and any deposit is paid.

Can I ask questions on the website chat?
Yes. Tina, our website assistant, can answer questions about sessions, rates and the studio any time and pass your booking request to our team.
Portrait sessions (with our photographers)
What does a portrait session cost?
Sessions start at $199 (Essentials: one look, three retouched photos, up to 30 minutes). Signature is $349 (three looks, nine photos, up to 90 minutes) and Full Glam is $549 (four looks, twelve photos, up to 120 minutes, makeup included). Every package includes the $99 sitting fee. What is a look?
One outfit and styling combination in one studio setup, with up to 30 minutes of camera time and three retouched photos that you select. Add a look for $100.
Do you offer makeup?
Yes. One professional application is $150, subject to artist availability, and it is included once in Full Glam. Makeup is scheduled before your camera time.
What should I bring?
Your wardrobe for each look. Packages are for one person; hair styling, makeup changes, custom sets, groups and commercial campaigns are quoted separately.
What do I receive?
Professionally retouched digital photos that you choose from the session. Digital files only; prints and RAW files are not included. Extra retouched photos are $25 each or five for $100.
Studio rental (bring your own photographer or crew)
How much does it cost to rent the studio?
Studio rental is $200 per hour. This is room rental for your own photographer or creative team; portrait sessions with our photographers are priced by package, not by the hour. Half-day, full-day, film project, workshop and event pricing is quoted by our team; contact us with your plans.
How big is the space?
The exclusive-access studio is about 3,800 square feet. There is also a 600 square foot workshop and creative room.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A $125 refundable security deposit is paid at booking and returned after your rental if the space is left as you found it and the studio policies were followed.
What if my shoot runs over?
Your rental starts and ends at the scheduled times, so plan setup and cleanup inside your booking. Time beyond your booking is billed at $300 per hour.
What is your cancellation policy?
With 72 hours or more notice you can reschedule within four weeks at no charge. Between 48 and 72 hours before the rental, half of your payments are refunded. Under 48 hours, payments are not refunded.
Do I need insurance?
Yes. A certificate of insurance naming 523 Studios is required for all rentals.
What are the studio rules?
Leave the studio and lounge exactly as you found them. No smoking in the building or within 20 feet of an entrance. Food and drink stay in the lounge. No fire, candles or pets without written permission, and no glitter, cake smash, sand or anything that stains. Nothing nailed or pinned to the walls. Renters are responsible for damage and for the conduct of their guests. Sessions with any nudity, including boudoir, require exclusive access. See the Rental Policy.
Can I host an event?
Small events such as bridal lunches, birthdays, corporate lunches and private receptions are welcome. Contact us about your event.
Podcast recording
Can I record a podcast at the studio?
Yes. The studio has a fully equipped sound and video setup for discussions, interviews and business podcasts, and you can record video as well as audio. Contact us for rates and to plan your session.
Video and business content
Do you produce video?
Yes. Our production team produces and films company videos and creative projects. Share your concept or plan and we will talk it through.
What is a business content day?
One planned shoot day to capture a month of content for your company: talking heads, interviews, day-in-the-life and short highlight clips. We can also handle captions, scheduling and posting on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok as an ongoing plan. See business content; pricing is quoted per project.
Toon Spot animated ads
What is a Toon Spot?
One 30-second animated ad made for social media, starring the 523 cast and written around your business. Your first spot is $300. It includes the script, voices, captions, your closing card and one round of changes. Half up front, the rest at delivery. See the Toon Spot offer.
Can I have my own character?
Yes, ask for a separate custom-character quote. The $300 first-spot offer uses the 523 cast. The finished spot is yours to post; the characters stay with 523 Studios.
Does the Toon Spot price include posting or advertising?
The $300 offer covers production of your finished spot. Posting, ongoing management and advertising spend are separate. Discuss a content plan if you want regular content or help posting.
Can you teach me to make cartoons?
We are taking inquiries about paid instruction. Tell us your goal, experience and preferred format; our team will discuss options, availability and price. Ask about instruction.
